About The Position

At SEI, the Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) is expanding rapidly and is seeking an Account Manager to join their Relationship Management and Client Service team. The primary goal of this role is to provide an exceptional client experience. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding client relationships with existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact for their daily activities and initiatives. This involves building deep understanding of clients’ business and objectives, utilizing industry and SEI Solutions knowledge to consult and present innovative recommendations on industry trends, product differentiation, and new market opportunities. You will manage client and internal expectations, identify, resolve, or escalate critical issues, and act as a strong advocate for clients internally and for SEI externally. The role also requires engaging with internal teams to define service offerings and contributing to market unit success through department-wide initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading the onboarding of new clients, managing key client projects (such as fund openings/closings, mergers, asset pool conversions, and service provider changes), and ensuring standardized processes. Additionally, you will assist IMS in meeting business objectives by helping maintain revenue and profitability goals, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and supporting recontract and RFP processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years investment management/operational experience (Traditional or Alternative).
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Excellent Client Service skills built around the SEI Client Experience Principles.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • The self-motivation and drive to monitor multiple client deliverables without sacrificing excellence or quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support your clients through email and/or phone calls.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of your time.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the client relationship by building deeper and broader relationships within your client base and developing an intimate understanding of your clients’ business and objectives.
  • Utilize industry and SEI Solutions knowledge to consult with clients and present innovative recommendations relating to: industry trends, product differentiation (product rollout, new classes, channels, etc), new market opportunities, success stories, etc.
  • Manage client and internal expectations while identifying, resolving and/or escalating critical issues.
  • Act as a strong advocate for your clients internally and a strong advocate for SEI externally.
  • Engage with internal teams to find creative ways to continually define our service offering and contribute to the success of the market unit by identifying and participating in department wide initiatives to improve effectiveness.
  • Lead the onboarding of new clients and manage key client projects (prioritize projects, identify new projects to be initiated, gather resources, monitor milestones, perform business analysis, document, etc.).
  • Ensure that standardized processes are created and used to manage routine activities.
  • Assist with helping IMS meet its business objectives by helping ensure client relationships maintain revenue and profitability goals.
  • Actively involve in helping identify cross selling opportunities and supporting the recontract and RFP processes.
  • Acquire the tools to identify processes across the division and organization through attending and participating in various IMS and corporate professional development sessions.
