About The Position

United Utility Supply (UUS) is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Account Manager to support electric utility customers in east Tennessee. The ideal candidate would live in the territory. This role is crucial for meeting the material and service needs of electric utilities, fostering long-term partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer value. The Account Manager acts as a trusted advisor, identifying market trends, evolving customer needs, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Computer experience including Microsoft office applications and inventory management systems
  • Travel as required 50-75%

Nice To Haves

  • 3 year's experience in the electric utility business preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • 2 years Outside sales experience preferred
  • Walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned utility accounts, building long term, trust-based relationships.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, issues, and service needs.
  • Manage project timelines, material delivery schedules, contract renewals and negotiate pricing within established guidelines.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, project pipelines, and inventory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance in product selection, application, and standards compliance.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve or exceed annual sales and margin targets.
  • Identify new opportunities for product penetration, project collaboration, and value-added services.
  • Prepare and present quotations, bids, and proposals for utility projects and annual material contracts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be discussed during face-to-face interview.
