About The Position

A growing technology services organization is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its sales and client services team in Milford, MA. This position combines strategic account management, client growth, and new business development within a consultative technology sales environment. The Account Manager will manage and grow existing client relationships while actively developing new business opportunities. The position works closely with sales, technical, engineering, and project teams to develop technology solutions aligned with client business needs. The role is particularly well suited for someone with experience selling managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, or related technology solutions. The underlying job description specifically requires technology sales experience and emphasizes consultative selling, relationship management, new-logo development, and strategic account growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in IT/technology sales, account management, or business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing a book of business and achieving or exceeding sales and performance goals.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience developing net-new business and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both executive and technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of managed services, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and collaboration technologies.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong presentation, discovery, proposal, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client sites, vendor meetings, and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or systems integrator is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling cloud, networking, cybersecurity, or collaboration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, including long-term technology roadmaps and client budget planning.
  • Manage existing client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact.
  • Identify cross-sell, upsell, renewal, and new business opportunities.
  • Prospect for new clients through outreach, networking, referrals, events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead client business reviews, discovery meetings, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Partner with technical resources and engineers to scope and price technology solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and statements of work.
  • Build relationships with technology vendors and partners to develop joint opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client, pipeline, and sales activity within the CRM.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop business within key markets, including education, nonprofit, healthcare, and other organizational clients.
