About The Position

Tofurky is hiring a Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team. This position is full-time, hybrid position and requires 1-2 days a week in our Hood River, Oregon office. The Account Manager is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of natural, regional, and emerging retail customer accounts while supporting Tofurky's commercial growth strategy. Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and senior sales leadership, this position develops customer relationships, executes customer business plans, supports new product launches, and partners with broker organizations to grow distribution and sales across assigned accounts. This role is ideal for a high-potential commercial professional with approximately 3–5 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of a customer portfolio while developing toward larger national account responsibilities within a growing consumer packaged goods organization. As a key member of the sales team, this position requires strong communication skills, curiosity, analytical thinking, excellent organization, and a desire to build a long-term career in consumer-packaged goods sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in consumer packaged goods sales, account management, sales operations, customer service, or a related commercial function.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within a commercial organization.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-30%.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with grocery, natural foods, or consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Experience with retail customers or broker organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of natural, regional, and emerging retail customer accounts.
  • Develop and execute customer business plans to achieve sales, distribution, and profitability objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to increase distribution, improve product velocities, and introduce new products.
  • Present new products, promotional programs, and merchandising opportunities to assigned customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and promotional programs within established company guidelines.
  • Monitor customer performance and recommend actions to improve sales and profitability.
  • Partner with assigned broker organizations to support customer growth objectives.
  • Communicate priorities, promotional plans, and sales initiatives.
  • Monitor execution at retail and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, sales presentations, and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare customer presentations, business reviews, and sales analyses.
  • Support forecasting, annual planning, promotional planning, pricing implementation, and new item launches.
  • Utilize syndicated data, retailer portals, and internal reporting to identify business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer forecasts, CRM records, and sales reporting.
  • Support assigned international customers through customer communication, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Assist with international product launches and commercial activities as assigned.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Operations, and Innovation to ensure successful execution of customer initiatives.
  • Communicate customer insights and marketplace trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, broker meetings, and industry events.
