Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid WA state Food handler’s card.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in food service account management or restaurant management.
  • At least 6 months experience as a delivery driver (any type) and have some knowledge of the area of service.
  • Ability to comprehend local maps and directions
  • Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Experience in developing positive relationships and handling customers’ needs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and transportation laws.
  • Must possess a valid driver license and qualify as a PHS Approved Driver.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

  • Some experience working in a commercial kitchen environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a high level of customer service and satisfaction with all customers in assigned region and resolves customer issues
  • Maintain contacts at each facility within assigned region by contacting them bi-monthly for regular “check – ins”.
  • Communicate regularly with customers informing them of changes to scheduled deliveries or product substitutions.
  • While on the clock, always have your phone charged and working to ensure continued line of communication with the kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all product is delivered daily according to the menu. Accommodate all customer requests and fill missing items daily.
  • Make sure that food pars are met at all times and communicate daily with the kitchen staff
  • Consult with new customers regarding kitchen needs, storage capacity, billing and other needs for offering services.
  • After accounts are established, meet with new customers to orient them to the needs of food service including: consulting regarding proper kitchen set up, maintaining proper food temperatures, billing, delivery tickets, menus and website use.
  • Have a working knowledge of safety standards for kitchen staff.
  • Follow all established systems and controls for food order accuracy.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with food, containers, carts and other items.
  • Prepare, package and assemble food orders accurately for delivery.
  • Track and maintain food and supply inventories at customer locations.
  • Notify Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Leads if items are missing and needed.
  • Obey all traffic laws and practice safe and defensive driving techniques.
  • Check internal food temperatures prior to loading vehicle and at delivery.
  • Check orders in at customer facilities to ensure accuracy.
