About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring an Account Manager to develop and maintain customer relationships and grow revenue in the RHVAC business. The role focuses on strategic account penetration, generating new customers, retaining existing customers, and building strong, profitable partnerships. The territory covers Central Virginia, from Charlottesville to Culpeper. The role prioritizes customer engagement; when not interacting with customers, the employee collaborates with colleagues in the office. Daily territory travel is required, with some overnight travel.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of demonstrated business development experience in lieu of a degree, or an Associate's Degree (AA).
• Successful experience in business development and sales.
• A valid, in-state driver's license held for at least 12 months.
• No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions within the previous 3 years.

• CRM/Salesforce experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate budgeted sales, manage product mix and pricing to achieve margin goals, and grow market share in the assigned territory.
• Develop and execute account-specific business plans that identify long-term mutual support requirements and facilitate successful customer partnerships.
• Identify customer problems or needs and create action plans to address them.
• Assess market opportunities and market sales data.
• Attend sales meetings and report on sales activity, new account development, services, and promotions.
• Develop new customers and retain current customers through strategic account penetration.
