Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of thriving in a competitive sales environment, preferably in the distribution channel
  • Proven track record of sales success and relationship development skills
  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to identify and recommend new sales initiatives for Richards and Richards customers
  • Able to effectively research, communicate and present relevant products to assigned existing customers and net new customers
  • Skilled at Account and Pipeline management for all assigned current clients and prospective clients through daily CRM utilization
  • History of price file management while maintaining sales and margin goals
  • Capable of managing territory expenses, samples, and any consignments in accordance with company policies
  • Exceptional computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products such as MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Team player, creative thinker, strong organizational and multi-tasking individual, with excellent negotiation and communication skills, and can work under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience with food industries is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan all sales-related activities such as customer meetings, prospect meetings, business reviews, and creating customer presentations
  • Meet with existing customers to maintain relationships and develop sales opportunities to achieve Richards Packaging sales targets within the assigned territory
  • Prospect to open and secure new accounts
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, including internal reporting, information management, CRM usage, and daily sales reporting
  • Work with sourcing department to expand product offerings to prospects and customers
