About The Position

Pepperl+Fuchs, a leader in industrial sensor and intrinsically safe explosion protection technologies for eight decades, is seeking an experienced Account Manager. The company is focused on the digital transformation of the automation industry and offers innovative enterprise mobile computing and communication solutions that support this evolution while also contributing to sustainability and energy efficiency. The Account Manager will be responsible for all sales activities within their designated territory, including maintaining existing business, building relationships, seeking growth opportunities, and driving new sales with customers looking for Enterprise Mobility solutions in the Industrial and Hazardous Area sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, IT, or Manufacturing Technologies
  • 5 to 7 years minimum sales experience
  • At least 2 years in a global environment.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a variety of settings.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure vendors.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Experience selling telecom and industrial communications in a business-to-business setting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as the use of the intranet and the internet.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all sales activities within the designated territory, including maintaining existing business.
  • Overall responsibility for the pursuit and winning of mobility projects.
  • Conduct presentations and sales calls at designated target account sites.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships through 24/7 customer service including pricing, quotes, delivery and technical assistance.
  • Work closely with customers to define product requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records and communications as needed.
  • Expedite existing orders while working closely with purchasing and manufacturing.
  • Provide new product information and technical training to customers.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
