About The Position

Alford Media is a specialized division of Freeman that is nationally recognized for expertise in corporate event technology. The Account Manager will act as liaison on specific account projects by coordinating work with all internal departments; facilitating information between design, detailing, estimating, production, client(s) and Senior Account Manager(s) and tracking production and deadlines to ensure continued progress of client workflow. Be responsible for all daily tactical activities, affording the Senior Account Manager(s) time to invest in building stronger relationships with existing clients and cultivating new clients. Applicants must have knowledge and experience in the live event industry. This position will support our Alford Media team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
  • A minimum of two years of account management experience in the live event or related industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Willingness to learn and use Alford Media’s proprietary bidding system and Salesforce.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, pro-actively determine solutions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbal & written).
  • Ability to work flexible hours under extreme pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time and changing priorities.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for completion of projects in the absence of direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Interact and communicate directly with client.
  • Maintain and update all internal processes, schedules and communications.
  • Schedule and manage account, design and production meetings (supervisor, senior account manager, technical department leads and/or project management to participate depending on size and magnitude of project).
  • Coordinate/manage show requirements with technical department leads and project management.
  • Manage and process client estimates and invoicing.
  • Project management of all small projects per the direction of supervisor.
  • Prepare all written correspondence as directed by supervisor.
  • Some travel required for on-site support and client relationship building.
  • Subscribe to the company's Mission Vision Values statement.
  • Participate as a team player in providing overall value to the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
