About The Position

OmniCable is seeking a talented and tenacious Account Manager to join their Sales Team. This role will focus on selling a full range of specialty wire and cable products within a defined territory, managing new and existing business accounts, and developing long-term relationships with electrical distribution personnel to drive future sales growth. The Account Manager will be instrumental in achieving ambitious customer and revenue growth objectives. The position requires energy, comfort in building business relationships over the phone, negotiating and closing sales, and prioritizing inbound and outbound calls.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution sales, preferably in electrical/wire and cable.
  • Strong phone presence and experience in a high call volume environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with corporate productivity and presentation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage the entire account base to promote OmniCable awareness and cultivate business.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly quotas.
  • Stay informed about new developments within the wire and cable industry, including competitive information.
  • Develop account growth and profitability in accordance with quota and territory assignment.
  • Order wire and cable solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of quotes.
  • Act as a product expert and provide professional advice to customers to build strong and lasting relationships.
  • Work closely with customers and vendor partners to support defined growth goals.
  • Support branch objectives to foster a strong team environment.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for wire and cable matters for assigned electrical distributor partners and others while covering.
  • Communicate order progress, tracking, and closure for customers.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager, Territory Sales Manager, and Regional Manager to ensure growth attainment.
  • Forecast and track key quote/order progress and account metrics.
