Account Manager: Wiring Harness Protection (Automotive & Industrial)
About The Position
This is a 100% remote role for an Account Manager specializing in Wiring Harness Protection for the Automotive & Industrial sectors. The company is a global manufacturer of wiring harness protection products with significant growth and expansion plans in the Americas. The role offers genuine remote work with covered home office expenses, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to manage and grow existing accounts with major industry players while developing new business. The product line is relevant across various powertrain markets (combustion, hybrid, EV) and industrial niches.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years in customer-facing sales or account management.
- Experience managing customers, crises, and related responsibilities.
- Experience in automotive components (wiring harnesses, sleeves, or protection products ideal).
- Strong industry contacts and the ability to learn the product.
- Drive to open new markets, not just maintain existing accounts.
Nice To Haves
- A network in the Detroit/Michigan automotive scene is a big plus.
Responsibilities
- Managing and growing existing accounts with major wiring harness manufacturers across the Americas (e.g., Lear, Yazaki, Sumitomo).
- Developing new business in automotive and industrial niches.
- Conducting regular customer visits.
- Crisis management when necessary.
- Building strong customer relationships within the industry.
