About The Position

The Account Manager position is responsible for inside sales and customer service, ranging from initial quoting activities to maintaining and growing the business relationship with customers. This role serves as the lead point of contact for all customer Account Management matters, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships to understand and support client needs. The Account Manager will work collaboratively with team members in other functional areas such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Business Unit Director, and Planning. This role interfaces with internal personnel regarding sales order planning, forecasting, pricing, engineering/technical issues, production scheduling, and various daily issues in a fast-paced sales environment. Key responsibilities include ensuring the timely and successful delivery of products, proactively providing customers with delivery updates, assisting in receivable collections, and clearly communicating initiative progress to stakeholders. The Account Manager will proactively identify and address customer issues, develop and maintain standard sales processes, and adhere to company and OSHA safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer Account Management matters

  • Interface with internal personnel regarding sales order planning, forecasting, pricing, engineering/technical issues, production scheduling, and the variety of daily issues related to a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our product according to customer needs and objectives
  • Proactively provide customers with delivery updates as necessary
  • Assist in the collection of receivables as needed
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and address customer issues (theirs and ours) and escalate as needed
  • Develop, follow and maintain/improve standard sales processes
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures, and bring any safety observations to the attention of the management team
