About The Position

We’re looking for a driven, high-performing Account Manager to join the momentum and help shape the future of farming in the Canterbury region. This is an opportunity to positively disrupt an industry and pioneer groundbreaking change, working with some of the highest-performing dairy farms in New Zealand. Serving as the primary point-of-contact for Halter customers, you will be passionate about driving farmer success for one of the world’s fastest-growing companies that will transform how they farm to become leaders in productivity and sustainability. You will be backed by a team of exceptional people on the ground in the South Island and at Halter’s Auckland HQ, to ensure this is the best job you’ll ever have. Location - This role is to be based anywhere in the South Canterbury region. Frequent travel is required as part of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in dairy or the wider ag sector is a bonus, but not a deal breaker if you bring strong learning agility and a genuine passion for helping farmers succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the retention, renewals and expansion targets of Halter’s existing revenue in the region.
  • Ensure farmers are extracting full value from Halter to achieve their goals and ultimately understand the impact it’s having on their farming business.
  • Responsible for renewing customer agreements and expanding the revenue of existing Halter customers, by adding value in every interaction to drive on-farm goals and performance.
  • Supporting the onboarding, training and implementation of the Halter system on customers' farms, ensuring all relevant farm owners, managers, and workers are able to successfully use the system.
  • Proactively cultivate genuine and trustworthy relationships with farmers, their teams, and families, fostering strong connections and understanding.
  • Strategically partnering with customers to establish clear business goals, timelines, priorities and metrics of success.
  • Provide prompt and effective communication and support to farmers and team members, addressing technical or operational challenges with expertise and efficiency.
  • Represent the Halter brand with pride, lead local discussion groups, and proactively build strong networks within the community for increased brand visibility and connections.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer and bridging the gap with our product teams to provide important context about what is happening on the ground with our farmers and their animals.
  • Working closely with our product teams to provide technical and practical advice from a farmer’s perspective on everything reproduction, pasture and agronomy.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting others to succeed and role modelling Halter’s Operating Principles.
