About The Position

Dr. Squatch is searching for an Account Manager, Wholesale & Specialty Retail who will be responsible for business development and wholesale/specialty sales strategy across the US marketplace. This role will seek out the ongoing business development activities in both retail and wholesale. This role will work collaboratively across our operations, product, marketing, and retail teams to drive activities to support these new channels and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in retail CPG, preferably working in personal care/ beauty or with accounts in specialty and sales agencies such as Ivystone, RitzSisters, Department Stores, Specialty Retail, etc. Experience managing sales agencies and small to medium sized retail accounts with both brick & mortar and eCommerce businesses is preferred. This role will report to the Senior Account Manager. This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail CPG, preferably working in Alternate Channels/Business Development as described above
  • Experience managing large retail accounts
  • Excellent communication skills—both internally and externally
  • Experience in strategic planning for growth and expansion of new channels and how that should inform key company decisions
  • Experience managing multiple retailers, internal stakeholders, and third-party services with strong attention to detail, a high level of organization, and excellent follow-through
  • Experience with wholesale channel and independent customers
  • Able to think at an enterprise level, while managing at the customer level
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
  • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on building and executing a new strategic channel retail go-to-market model for Dr. Squatch, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop short and long-term strategies by account and by market.
  • Develop and grow relationships across key decision-makers at key sales agencies to grow Dr. Squatch’s presence as an omnichannel brand in developed specialty accounts and seeking new business.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Sales to revamp and optimize the wholesale/specialty channel internally and externally with retail roadmap, launches, execution, new business
  • Drive progress in collaboration with our marketing team to create visually stunning, best-in-class merchandising destinations for Dr. Squatch on shelf.
  • Develop and own strategy for trade promotions & customer spending by account in new channels.
  • Collaborate with internal Dr. Squatch product, operations, and marketing teams to facilitate retail initiatives.
  • Manage collateral & assets the sales organization needs for successful outreach, such as 1-pagers & sales presentations.
  • Build and execute business plans for assigned customers that support Dr. Squatch’s fast-growing business.
  • Manage Customer P&Ls to achieve both Net Revenue and Customer Contribution objectives.
  • Inform the customer forecast per the business plans established for each customer.
