About The Position

The Non-Fare Sales & Customer Experience Partnerships Office is currently seeking a full-time Account Manager, Service. This role is responsible for leading and executing all initiatives related to assigned strategic partnerships, ensuring effective collaboration and sustained growth. This role is an in-office position based at our 10 Bay Street, Toronto location. Our team is highly collaborative, and much of our work benefits from in-person co-creation, relationship-building, and hands-on partnership with leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree in Marketing, Communications – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience/training in progressively more senior roles in marketing and/or advertising managing multiple high-profile corporate partners while maximizing revenue.
  • Knowledge of the importance and impact of strategic corporate partnerships
  • Knowledge and expertise to manage a large profile of corporate clients with complex contractual agreements involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in managing and monitoring marketing or business contracts and agreements, to ensure that the outcomes are delivered and executed.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate the achievement of partners’ goals and objectives by providing expert marketing advice and guidance.
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills to manage a broad range of stakeholders and develop presentations, memos, and briefs for senior management audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned strategic partner contracts and marketing agreements to ensure Metrolinx’s obligation to deliver contractual obligations to external partners, such as advertising assets, promotional rights, signage requirements, events, and communication and marketing protocols.
  • Develops and manages partner activation strategies, including collaboration between departmental and external partner marketing teams, to identify financially beneficial opportunities to share high-profile marketing or sponsorship opportunities. Collaborates with external partner to reach an agreement and facilitates the achievement of partner’s goals and objectives by providing expert marketing advice and guidance.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to leverage and maximize existing relationships with strategic partners, including value-in-kind assets to achieve corporate and departmental business goals and objectives, e.g., utilizing corporate partners’ marketing platforms for corporate messaging and thereby broadening its marketing exposure.
  • Maintains and updates strategic partner deliverables including production requirements and timelines, artwork and creative deadlines, and achievement of production schedules. Liaises with partners to discuss problems/delays in production deliveries, and to negotiate modifications where required.
  • Produces regular reports, including a detailed record of corporate-wide partner activities, documentation of signage, promotional activities and results, value-in-kind tracking, approvals, and all other necessary partner documentation.
  • Participates in regular corporate and departmental operational, business planning, and marketing meetings, and contributes to the development of business goals by representing the strategic partners at corporate marketing meetings and proposing resolutions to marketing challenges through specific partner activation initiatives. Includes the development of the organization business plan by providing marketing advice and strategic partnership recommendations to the Manager.
  • Works with internal marketing, media relations, and issues management representatives, to provide strategic counsel and advice on key issues relating to strategic partners and key partner messaging.
  • Showcases and champions strategic partners within various divisions, to encourage and foster the utilization of strategic partnerships to create, enhance, and promote the corporate business objectives.
  • Develops and maintains a current awareness and understanding of strategic partnering trends and marketing best practices to recommend various improvements and enhancements to existing partnership strategies and program initiatives.
  • Establishes processes, controls, and measures for financial tracking, reporting and reconciliations; monitors partnership activation contracts and agreements, raising awareness of issues and possible financial impacts quickly to mitigate risk and loss. Including the strategic partner payment schedules.
  • Monitors and manages the terms of the Account Management budget as it relates to strategic partner activations and costs to implement partnership agreements, e.g., production charges and variances in creative costs.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to internal stakeholders and external marketing vendors.
