About The Position

Sun Pharma is a leading global pharmaceutical company dedicated to providing high-quality medicines. The Account Manager will be responsible for direct contact with national customer accounts for the company’s Consumer Healthcare Generic House Label Business. This role aims to increase sales, manage customer relationships, and meet all reporting, budgeting, and forecasting requirements. The position supports the growth and management of the house label business, requiring knowledge of internal systems and collaboration across various departments including Sales, Pricing & Contracts, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Government Pricing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.)
  • 2+ years Account Management experience working with direct contacts to industry buyers
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and ability to use tool for forecasting
  • Ability to work under limited guidance with periodic review
  • Ability to interpret data into a persuasive strategic recommendation or narrative
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally across departments and varying levels of the organization

  • Working knowledge of consumer product distribution channels and classes of trade

Responsibilities

  • Manage direct contact with national customer accounts for the Consumer Healthcare Generic House Label Business to increase sales and manage customer relationships.
  • Meet all reporting, budgeting, and forecasting requirements for the customer group.
  • Support the growth and management of the house label business, collaborating with internal departments.
  • Analyze sales and market trends for launched and competitor products.
  • Gather market prices for current and future Consumer Healthcare (CHC) products.
  • Participate in new product launches by gathering prospective customer utilization data.
  • Interact with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations to manage sales aspects.
  • Respond to customer Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Right of First Refusal (ROFRs) in coordination with Product Management and Pricing & Contracts.
  • Support the implementation of promotional/marketing plans to secure distribution and maximize sales.
  • Monitor account/product sales to ensure inventory sell-through before products become short-dated.
  • Collaborate with Finance to track and monitor past-due receivable balances.
  • Initiate and lead regular sales meetings with customers.
  • Attend annual tradeshows and conferences to meet with customers.
  • Coordinate with the Pricing & Contract team for pricing discussions, contract alignment, and account support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
