The company is hiring an Account Manager, Inside Sales (B2B) to grow and manage a portfolio of active business customers. This role focuses on expanding customer spend, introducing new product categories, and strengthening long-term relationships. The Account Manager will manage an established book of business and be responsible for identifying opportunities to increase share of wallet across categories like office supplies, breakroom, print, promotional products, furniture, and technology. This position is suitable for early-career candidates, those with transferable skills looking to shift into sales, and experienced account managers who thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work onsite at our Lincolnshire, IL location at least 4 days per week
  • Strong communication skills (phone + written)
  • Ability to build relationships and influence buying decisions
  • Comfortable making outbound calls in a metrics-driven environment
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High level of professionalism and integrity

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, retail sales, or another customer-facing role
  • Experience managing accounts or building client relationships is a plus
  • Exposure to B2B sales environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a book of active business customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships
  • Make outbound calls to drive repeat business and uncover new sales opportunities
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across multiple product categories
  • Analyze customer purchasing behavior to recommend tailored solutions
  • Manage a consistent sales pipeline and meet daily/weekly productivity targets
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Educate customers on product offerings, pricing, and consolidation opportunities
