About The Position

AlphaGraphics Madison is looking for a motivated, experienced Inside Sales & Print Account Specialist to join our growing team. This is not a traditional customer service position. You will work directly with customers, manage an existing book of business, develop estimates, coordinate projects with our production teams, and help identify opportunities to grow customer relationships and revenue. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, understands the importance of exceptional customer service, and can confidently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Print industry experience is strongly preferred. This position supports our Madison operation as well as business development efforts across our Madison and Milwaukee markets.

  • College degree preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • Print industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with a working knowledge of the commercial printing industry will have a significant advantage.
  • You will work with technology including: PrintSmith Vision – training provided, Microsoft Excel, XMPie or similar variable-data tools, Online ordering and storefront systems, Adobe Creative Cloud, AI and other technology tools that can improve efficiency, accuracy and customer service. You do not need to know every system on day one, but you must be comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop existing customer and house accounts
  • Respond to incoming calls, emails, online inquiries and customer requests
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for print, signage, graphics and related projects
  • Provide knowledgeable project consultation and recommend appropriate products, materials and solutions
  • Look for opportunities to expand project scope and provide additional value to customers
  • Enter, manage and track jobs from estimate through completion
  • Coordinate projects internally with production, design, mailing and large format teams
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding proofs, schedules, changes and project status
  • Prepare and send proofs for customer approval
  • Help ensure customer deadlines and quality expectations are met
  • Support direct mail projects, including data files and mail merges
  • Maintain accurate pricing, materials and product information within internal systems
  • Assist with website and online ordering platform updates
  • Participate in occasional in-person customer meetings and targeted business-development activities
  • Work closely with sales management to support existing customers while allowing outside sales representatives to focus on new business development
  • Pitch in wherever needed as part of a collaborative team
