About The Position

The Account Manager II role builds upon related experience acquired in the Account Manager I or equivalent role and is prepared to take on increasingly complex tasks within the Operations team. The essential duties of the Account Manager I role continue to apply, however AM II candidates bring proven experience in customer service or collections roles, are prepared for supervisory responsibility and desire ongoing cross-training and advancement in the organization.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to draft customer facing emails/correspondence on a regular basis and reports as needed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via telephone as well as in a customer facing opportunity.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as payoffs, discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams and database application systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional and proficient assistance to our commercial customers (manufacturers and dealers). Includes inquiries regarding account maintenance, billing statements, audit reconciliations, and assistance with our web-based account management system.
  • Monitor an assigned dealer portfolio for delinquency trends and take appropriate action when necessary, including phone collections, written demands for payment and the coordination of collateral repossessions.
  • Monitor manufacturer requests for new orders to be financed on a dealer credit line to ensure uninterrupted product flow for performing dealers with adequate credit availability. Prepare overline requests for approval when necessary.
  • Receive and resolve clearance calls from field auditors performing inventory inspections at dealer locations. Address collection issues and collateral discrepancies at the conclusion of the inspection. Recognize and communicate potential risk to the appropriate level of management.
  • Process system changes, produce and review delinquency reporting, document overline requests and process credit line increase opportunities, among other daily tasks.
  • Take leadership role in training and supervising an Account Service Coordinator or Account Manager I.
