About The Position

Our growing commercial insurance brokerage has an opening for an Employee Benefits Account Manager hybrid to our Schaumburg, IL location. This role will manage a book of small group clients and handle renewals, implementations, and ongoing benefits administration. You'll collaborate closely with producers and internal team members to deliver a high-touch client experience while helping clients navigate renewal strategy, compliance, and enrollment. The team is structured to allow Account Managers to focus on relationship management of the client.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of employee benefits account management experience, preferably with small group clients.
  • Active Life & Health license required.
  • Strong experience with Ease / Employee Navigator
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple renewal and implementation timelines
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, service-driven mindset
  • Team player, friendly, growth-minded

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Benelinx client management system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of small group employee benefits clients, handling renewals, implementations, and ongoing service.
  • Develop renewal strategies, order carrier renewals, and prepare proposals, benefit comparisons, and contribution models.
  • Act as the primary client contact for benefit, renewal, and service-related matters.
  • Lead new group implementations and manage renewal and onboarding timelines.
  • Collaborate with Benefit Analysts, Benefit Communication Specialists and Customer Service team members as needed.
  • Utilize Ease, Benelinx, Mineral and Zywave to ensure compliance, support audits and answer client questions.
