About The Position

This role manages the day-to-day functions of an assigned book of business while providing exceptional service. The Account Manager will participate in the operations of a service team and handle insurance requirements on contract reviews. They will interact with carriers, underwriters, and clients, maintain client records, and may be responsible for specific accounts. The position involves reviewing documents issued by insurance companies for accuracy and submitting incorrect documents for revision. The Account Manager will manage the ongoing service of an account and may partner with the team and Producers to assist with marketing new and renewal business. Day-to-day operations include processing policies, certificates, change requests, ID cards, endorsements, cancellations, audits, and invoicing, as well as reviewing accounting reports, incoming mail, and premium allocations. The role also involves answering coverage questions, reviewing policy forms, analyzing contractual insurance requirements, and verifying documentation for new and renewal business.

Requirements

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Three to five years of experience with an in-depth understanding of insurance.
  • Must have appropriate state insurance license.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written required.
  • Agency Management System experience (Applied Epic preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in day-to-day operations of a service team and the assigned book of business.
  • Handle insurance requirements on contract reviews.
  • Interact with carriers, underwriters, and clients to provide data and information for decision making.
  • Maintain client records within Epic, CSR24, and other 3rd party vendor software as appropriate, in accordance with standards.
  • Ability to take on issues of medium complexity with growing responsibility over time, under supervisory direction.
  • May be responsible for specific accounts within the team’s book of business.
  • Review documents issued by insurance company for accuracy. Submit incorrect documents to insurance companies for revision.
  • Manages the ongoing service on an account.
  • Will sometimes partner with the team and Producers to assist with marketing new and renewal business to grow the book of business/round out accounts.
  • Process policies, certificates, change requests, ID cards, endorsements, cancellations, audits and invoicing, reviewing accounting reports, incoming mail, premium allocations as required.
  • Answers coverage questions and reviews policy forms.
  • Analyze contractual insurance requirements and analyze client needs.
  • Verifies documentation received from Jr. AE regarding new & renewal business.
