Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ Years of Personal Insurance Experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Pennsylvania Property and Casualty Insurance License

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate marketing of new business for assigned Advisors.
  • Organize underwriting information gathered by Advisors.
  • Provide recommendations on carriers for placement. Submit to and follow up with underwriters throughout the new business process.
  • Assist clients with renewal process independently, reviewing policies for correct coverage, marketing account to other carriers upon renewal if necessary, and ensuring a smooth transition when moving policies to a new carrier.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for property and casualty products, benefits, and financial services, and provide leads and contact information to appropriate personnel.
  • Timely and accurate processing of policy changes through agency management system including mortgagee changes, auto and property additions and deletions, address changes, etc.
  • Timely and accurate processing of proofs of insurance through agency management system.
  • Resolve client inquiries regarding coverage and billing questions, immediately documenting client communication and action taken in the agency management system.
  • Field and address claims calls from clients when Claims Specialist is not available.
  • Maintain loss/claim files and provide updates as needed or agreed upon with clients and sales team.
  • Maintain current contact and policy information in agency management system for prospects and clients.
  • Participate in occasional sales and service meetings at the request of sales team and clients.
  • Keep informed of the insurance industry through independent study, continuing education, and agency resources.
  • Assist with general office tasks including answering agency phone and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
