About The Position

The Account Manager - Brokerage is responsible for developing sales plans to acquire new customers, soliciting shipments, managing the sales pipeline using CRM tools, and facilitating the onboarding of new customers. This role requires maintaining and achieving sales goals through a clear and directed sales plan.

Requirements

  • One year of experience.
  • Knowledge and ability in English and grammar.
  • Pleasant telephone voice and manner.
  • Ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job.
  • Ability to compose correspondence.
  • Ability to think on your feet.
  • Knowledge of excellent customer service.
  • High school education mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound phone calls and visits to potential shippers and carriers to achieve sales plan objectives.
  • Develop personal sales plans and engage in ongoing training to enhance sales skills.
  • Receive and analyze customer requests via telephone or email, provide information, or route requests to the appropriate person.
  • Analyze bids and respond to requests for quotes.
  • Utilize the company CRM system to search customer records and provide necessary information and reports to the sales manager and team members.
  • Set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate notes and sales activity in the company CRM system.
  • Inform operational teams about new customers and provide details regarding their requirements and needs.
  • Respond to customer requests via telephone or email, using a personal computer as needed.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of services offered, pricing, delivery and transit times, telemarketing skills, and related data.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Complete shipper requests for quotes (RFQ) as needed.
  • Perform other allied duties as assigned by the supervisor.
