About The Position

Steinbach Credit Union (SCU) is seeking an Account Manager, Agribusiness, to join their Corporate Lending Department. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of agricultural members through proactive relationship management, lending solutions, and advisory support. The focus is on delivering strong credit outcomes, deepening member relationships, and supporting sustainable growth across farm, Agribusiness, and related commercial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma specializing in business, agriculture, finance, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in agricultural or commercial lending, banking, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural operations, financial statement analysis, and credit risk assessment.
  • Proven relationship‑builder who balances competing priorities and delivers consistent results.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with sound judgment and analytical problem‑solving skills.
  • Results‑driven and member‑focused, with a commitment to growth and continuous improvement.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain trusted, long‑term relationships with agricultural producers and agri‑business members as their primary financial partner and advisor.
  • Lead comprehensive lending, service, and advisory conversations, delivering tailored, relationship‑based financial solutions.
  • Assess, structure, and manage agricultural credit solutions aligned with member needs, sound credit practices, and the credit union’s risk appetite.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance member well‑being and drive sustainable growth through integrated financial services and market awareness.
  • Monitor and manage loan portfolios to ensure credit quality, early risk identification, compliance, and portfolio health.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless, member‑centric experience while upholding regulatory requirements, policies, and cooperative values.
