Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-9+ Minimum Years of Experience with combined Finance Management and/or Sales.
  • 3-5+ Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be willing to travel and work at customer sites.
  • Experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Technical Engineering/Program Management, or Technical Sales Representative preferred.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function related YF IOS requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function related EHS requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).

Responsibilities

  • Develop pricing and commercial proposals and negotiate with customers.
  • Understand customer commercial requirements and develop proposals that meet these needs and create value for YFAI.
  • Manage customer relationships by delivering information, solving problems, receiving requests, relaying issues to relevant departments, providing solutions and proposals, and obtaining feedback.
  • Plan and negotiate commercial savings, including contractual long-term agreements (LTAs) and resin costs for current and future years.
  • Negotiate payment terms and develop transition plans.
  • Visit customers to gather information on business opportunities, volumes, capacity, and financial status.
  • Build strong customer relationships and identify, pursue, and realize commercial opportunities to improve YFAI's financial performance.
  • Collect 5-year business plan information from customers.
  • Fulfill customer requirements for pricing and commercial needs, including creating customer price breakdown forms, tooling price breakdown forms, and responding to various requests for information to support commercial issues and claims.
  • Secure Purchase Orders (POs) and release them to internal departments; may include populating customer online quotation systems.
  • Negotiate Engineering Changes (Phase 2 - 5).
  • Provide Prototype Part Quotations.
  • Negotiate Engineering Development & Demonstration (ED&D) and receive Purchase Orders.
  • Create and maintain Bump Charts, including Directed Component Bump Charts.
  • Develop, maintain, and track Customer Price Breakdown Forms and history.
  • Manage Customer Commercial Open Issues related to Purchasing, Supply Chain Engineering (SCE), Customer Integration Team (CIT), Tooling, and Operations.
  • Resolve Account Receivables issues, including customer escalations.
  • Manage Service Accounts, including Requests for Quotation (RFQs), supply chain matters, and plant moves.
  • Load information into the Customer Portal.
