About The Position

TMZ is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Account Executive to lead its direct sales efforts across a dynamic suite of media, content, and experiential products (including TMZ's social, broadcast, digital, audio, and Tours & Experiences offerings). This role requires someone who can pick up a telephone, meet someone face-to-face, or via Zoom and engage in compelling, cogent conversation that seals deals. The ideal candidate should have deep fluency in selling social-first programs, including platform-native opportunities across TikTok Pulse, X Amplify, Meta, and YouTube. It also requires expertise in selling integrated, highly custom campaigns, while maintaining a high-velocity pipeline of turnkey opportunities that consistently convert to revenue.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience at a media company, publisher, agency, or studio/network
  • Proven track record managing accounts from RFP through execution and meeting revenue goals
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
  • Working knowledge of digital video, audio, social, and linear platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience selling social-first and platform-native programs (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, X)
  • Background in integrated and custom campaign sales
  • Creative with a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets by driving direct sales across TMZ’s full suite of media, including TMZ On TV, TMZ Live, TMZ Sports, Social, YouTube, O&O Digital, Audio Network, and Tours & Experiences, as well as new and emerging offerings.
  • Prospect and develop new business while growing existing client and agency relationships
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, RFP response, pitch development, negotiation, and closing
  • Develop and deliver insight-driven proposals spanning social-first programs, platform-native monetization turnkey opportunities, and fully custom, integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain a high-velocity pipeline of opportunities that convert to revenue
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Marketing, Brand Development, Ad Ops, and Research teams to execute campaigns
  • Manage and mentor an Account Manager to support deal execution and account growth
