The Account Executive sells Johnson Controls Commercial Security services and technology such as access control, CCTV, digital video recording, and intrusion systems, focusing on closing new business and ensuring customer retention. This is a field sales position requiring frequent travel to customer sites, with remote work from a home office available.

Requirements

  • Experience in outside sales, preferably in enterprise-class commercial security systems or other technology.
  • Sales experience in the security industry.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Available for frequent local travel to customer offices.

Responsibilities

  • Sells Johnson Controls Commercial Security services and technology such as access control, CCTV, digital video recording, and intrusion systems.
  • Closes new business and ensures customer retention.
  • Secures sales and upgrades to new and existing customers.
  • Builds new market share by selling to new local commercial customers.
  • Sells additional products and services to existing accounts.
  • Renews existing customer agreements.
  • Sells add-ons, amends, and converts existing customer systems.
  • Responsible for resale opportunities.
  • Identifies prospects applying lead-generating techniques and maintains productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Establishes call plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics.
  • Applies time and territory management techniques.
  • Follows up with prospects.
  • Conducts post-installation follow-up by contacting customers to ensure commitments were met and affirm customer satisfaction.
