About The Position

The Liberty Company is seeking an Account Executive to join their in-office Spicewood team in McKinney, TX. This role involves obtaining, maintaining, servicing, marketing, and growing the insurance business for the company's clients. The Account Executive will assist clients in obtaining/renewing insurance coverage on competitive and appropriate terms and prices. This position also involves managing client relationships, including administration, marketing, customer service, and receivables, as well as managing carrier appointments, audits, memos, and updates. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience handling mid-to-large commercial lines accounts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Active DOI P&C License required.
  • Knowledge of AMS360 OR Epic system or similar agency management system.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and products.
  • Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records WILL be considered for employment.
  • For positions requiring a state insurance license, applicants must meet the state licensing requirements as required by the applicable DOI, must not have been disqualified or barred from licensure, and must not have been prohibited from conducting the business of insurance under Title 18 U.S. Code, §§1033 and 1034 to qualify for that role.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for middle market commercial lines accounts.
  • Prepare submissions for new/renewal business, market accounts, and prepare/present proposals, including on-site meetings.
  • Oversee quality control and compliance duties to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Prepare change requests for company and company accounts.
  • Review audits, policies, and endorsements for accuracy.
  • Initiate new account files in the agency management system.
  • Invoice company accounts (agency bill transactions).
  • Assist company and carriers with collections.
  • Assist company with carrier audits, including audit disputes.
  • Prepare and implement marketing strategies, particularly with respect to upcoming expirations (within 120 days).
  • Manage account cancellations, including communicating with carriers and clients to address cancellations, ensure coverage continuation, and mediate issues or disputes.
  • Manage carrier memos and process updates.
  • Manage company account requests, including requests for ID cards, evidence of property, certificates of insurance, binders, policies, and related documents.
  • Evaluate company accounts’ exposure and risk in determining appropriate markets for obtaining quotes.
  • Obtain quotes for coverage, negotiate with carriers regarding coverage terms, and interpret coverage for clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend additional coverage to company clients based on client needs.
  • Delegate assignments to administrative assistants, as appropriate.
  • Keep other team members fully informed of all important activities on company accounts.
  • Manage company receivables, renewals/expirations, as appropriate.
  • Act as company liaison with carriers and clients regarding complaints, claims, and grievances related to assigned accounts.
  • Attempt to resolve complaints, claims, and grievances related to assigned accounts.
  • Manage Exclusive Office Program Policies – ensuring coverage is bound, cancelled, and/or altered with Carrier and in Agency Management System in real time.
  • Manage Ongoing Management Team Inquiries with the ability to see through a provided plan of correction to avoid the same error from repeating again.
  • Service company and clients in a manner to avoid potential exposure to E&O claims, including reviewing, identifying, and addressing any current or prior exposures within the team’s book of business with management to address a course correction.
  • Provide a status update to management on current and prior account activity no later than the next business day, upon request.
  • Alert team members and company executives of incidents that may require intervention.
  • Be responsive to phone calls and e-mails.
  • Be responsive to company client requests (e.g. ID cards, certs, binders).
  • Maintain current, consistent, detailed documentation on all client activity, phone conversations, and correspondence in AMS360 OR Epic.
  • Prioritize workload and request assistance as necessary to reduce backlog.
  • Participate with executives, senior management and other team members on special projects and on the formulation and implementation of company policies and procedures, as needed.
  • Keep current on rates, forms, and coverage changes through bulletins, trade publications, seminars, and other forms of continuing education.
  • Participate in seminars and classes to continue development of qualifications, expertise, and experience.
