Account Executive
About The Position
We’re looking for a driven, competitive, and results-oriented Experienced Sales Representative with a proven track record in third-party logistics and an established book of business to join our team. In this role, you’ll leverage your existing customer relationships and industry expertise while continuing to grow your book of business through new customer development, relationship management, and strategic sales. You’ll have the autonomy and resources to manage your customers, identify and secure freight opportunities, negotiate with carriers, and oversee shipments from pickup through delivery. We’re looking for an experienced broker who has demonstrated success generating revenue and gross profit, understands the importance of strong customer relationships, and is motivated to take ownership of their business. Your success will be directly tied to your ability to retain and grow existing business, develop new opportunities, and deliver exceptional service to your customers.
Requirements
- Proven track record in third-party logistics
- Established book of business
- Self-motivated and elite work ethic
- Exceptional Customer Service
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Related experience is required
Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities with shippers
- Quote, negotiate, and book freight while maintaining profitable margins
- Source, qualify, and negotiate with reliable carriers
- Coordinate shipments from pickup through final delivery
- Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, and internal teams
- Track shipments and resolve issues quickly when problems arise
- Build and maintain a strong book of business
- Developing long-term customer and carrier relationships
- Maintain accurate information and activity in company systems/CRM
- Continuously improve your knowledge of transportation markets, lanes, pricing, and the freight industry
- Additional duties as assigned
