Vista Radio Ltd is Canada’s second-largest commercial radio broadcaster, operating over 70 radio stations and digital news portals across three provinces and the Northwest Territories. Paired with dynamic digital portals, these stations provide 24/7 access to timely, trusted, and hyper-local content. The company is seeking an outgoing, relationship-driven Account Executive to join the Vista Radio team in Courtenay / Comox Valley, BC, who is excited to help local businesses grow through creative marketing solutions. They are looking for a long-term employee who is collaborative, passionate about community, and interested in developing new business and creating lasting client relationships. This is a flexible, highly active sales position with unlimited earning potential.

Requirements

Education in sales, marketing, business, or communications preferred; entrepreneurial backgrounds are welcomed
Previous sales experience is an asset; media sales experience is a bonus (we'll train the right person!)
Comfortable working within a commission-based compensation structure
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Strong organizational and time management skills
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and reliable, fully insured vehicle

Responsibilities

Create and manage integrated marketing campaigns combining radio, digital, and social media solutions that help clients achieve their business goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with a client portfolio while identifying opportunities to grow their business
Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and creative outreach strategies
Develop customized marketing proposals and advertising solutions tailored to each client's objectives
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Manage account receivables and maintain excellent customer service throughout the client relationship
Participate in projects as required.
