About The Position

We are seeking a field-based Account Executive in Northern California who excels at creating their own leads and building relationships with busy insurance agencies. This role involves delivering value quickly, converting conversations into partnerships, and building a book of business through cold outreach, face-to-face visits, and industry connections. The Account Executive will represent gotoPremiumFinance, a subsidiary of Input 1, which offers a leading digital billing and payments platform for the property and casualty insurance industry. gotoPremiumFinance is a nationwide insurance premium finance company focused on improving cash flow and facilitating business growth for agencies and their insureds. The role also includes introducing a digital payment solution to streamline the insurance purchasing process. Success hinges on proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities, opening doors with net-new prospects, creating demand, uncovering client needs through strategic discovery, educating agencies on modern financing and digital payments, and positioning solutions as critical growth tools.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of business development or outside sales experience (insurance, financial services, field sales, or related)
  • Proven ability to generate own leads and close without MQLs
  • High outbound tolerance — comfortable cold calling, walking in, and handling objections
  • Self-motivated, confident communicator with sharp time management
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRMs (HubSpot a plus)
  • Must be comfortable with both car and air travel
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (conference materials, demo kits, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with insurance agents or small business B2B buyers is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Own territory and schedule in a true field sales role
  • Conduct 8–12 in-person agency visits per day, 4 days per week
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business (outbound first)
  • Deliver product value with clarity, confidence, and business impact
  • Maintain activity, pipeline, and conversion tracking in HubSpot
  • Travel to industry events, trade shows, and conferences
