About The Position

Ethon is a technology leader in Industrial AI, focused on eliminating waste in manufacturing through agentic workflows that optimize cost, quality, and production speed. The company serves major manufacturers and is backed by prominent investors. The team comprises individuals from top tech and manufacturing companies, united by the goal of enhancing factory productivity. This role involves bringing Ethon's solutions to manufacturers, managing new customer relationships from initial contact to contract signing. The Account Executive will be responsible for prospecting, discovery, demos, and negotiations, targeting Fortune 500 companies and closing significant deals. While prior sales experience is not mandatory, a strong aptitude for learning sales techniques quickly is expected. The role requires building trust with plant managers, demonstrating Ethon's value proposition, and securing reference customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to conduct deep discovery on a production line and understand the incentives of executives.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a demanding field, demonstrating a high standard of work and potential for growth.
  • A strong curiosity for how factories operate, demonstrated by a willingness to research topics like injection molding or biscuit production.
  • A builder mindset with an instinct to fix problems.
  • Coachability, likeability, and intellectual honesty.
  • Openness to travel 30% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience in high-growth startups or Industrial Tech platforms (e.g., Palantir, c3ai, MaintainX).
  • Experience as a founder with B2B product building and selling experience.
  • Experience in top-tier consulting.
  • Experience in digital transformation within manufacturing.
  • A technical degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial tech, or operations software.
  • Fluency in German, French, or another European language.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new customer relationships from first call to signed contract, including prospecting, discovery, demo, and negotiation.
  • Hunt Fortune 500 logos and close 5-7-figure deals.
  • Understand customer operations, KPIs, and pain points.
  • Quantify the business impact of shopfloor problems and build compelling business cases.
  • Spend time in the field at customer sites, industry events, and shopfloors to gain insights.
  • Be measured on outcomes and results.
  • Own the path into strategically important logos and influence company direction.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) for lead generation and the deployment team post-signing.
  • Identify and fix issues in the sales process.
