Requirements

  • Proven track record as a closer with experience carrying and hitting a real sales quota.
  • Experience selling a service, ideally in staffing, recruiting, professional services, or HR tech.
  • Ability to sell trust and build rapport, rather than just focusing on product specifications.
  • Comfort and proficiency with phone-based sales activities.
  • A high level of presence, poise, and credibility when interacting with senior-level professionals, including CHROs.
  • Strong ability to read and manage a room during client interactions.
  • Aggressive in pursuing work and closing deals, but not in pressuring individuals.
  • Excellent follow-up skills and organization.
  • A clear understanding and adherence to ethical sales practices, distinguishing between persistence and predatory behavior.
  • Treating the sales pipeline and the people within it with personal care and respect.
  • A commitment to winning ethically, without resorting to bait-and-switch tactics or undermining trust.
  • Must live in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, or Orange County area.
  • Willingness to use a Mac computer.

Responsibilities

  • Own sales end-to-end: hunt, qualify, pitch, and close deals.
  • Research companies and their leadership to understand their needs.
  • Engage with potential clients through phone calls and in-person meetings.
  • Build relationships with HR leaders and collaborate with them on searches, respecting their role in the process.
  • Actively participate in the local community by attending and engaging at HR groups, Chamber of Commerce events, and industry meetups.
  • Proactively identify and attend relevant events before they are widely known.
  • Hunt for new business opportunities, as this is a proactive sales role.
  • Maintain honesty and integrity in all sales interactions, avoiding overselling or misleading practices.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to walking away from deals that do not align with our values, even when financially beneficial.
  • Be comfortable with the possibility of turning down business that doesn't meet ethical standards.

  • Monthly allowance of $100 for home internet and cell phone.

  • Commission eligibility from the first dollar once monthly revenue clears $25,000.
  • 20% commission on total contingent placement fees.
