About The Position

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Marketing Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Account Executive, Social Media Planning to the Social Media Lead. The Celebrity Cruises Global Social Team is looking for a social specialist to step into the role of AE, Social Media Planning to support the team through content scheduling, community management, reporting, and social listening. This role ensures our social channels are consistently active, engaged, and reflective of brand priorities. Partnering closely with cross‑functional teams, this position monitors conversations, surfaces insights, assists with cross-functional planning, and maintains operational excellence across calendars, reporting, and vendor relationships. This role plays a key part in strengthening our social presence, protecting brand reputation, and supporting integrated marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in communications, public relations, or marketing
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, PR, or marketing development activities in large, complex, and fast-moving organizations
  • Experience in participating in a wide variety of marketing activities such as social media management
  • Meta / TikTok / Pinterest platform specific knowledge is required
  • Social media management (Sprout Social, Hootsuite) is required
  • Social media reporting experience is required
  • Strong understanding of traditional media, influencers, and social media
  • Customer oriented skills (within business to business (B2B) & business to customer (B2C) segments)
  • Proven track record in all aspects of program and project management, including metrics development
  • Ability to coordinate projects and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, flexible, multi-tasker
  • Excellent research, written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Solid MS Office skills
  • Some travel required.

  • Experience with content management systems as a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end social content scheduling across channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely publishing.
  • Upload monthly shareable assets to our online content repository.
  • Lead community management for all owned social channels, groups, and online platforms. Regularly monitor activity, report on trends, and respond to non–customer service inquiries across comments and DMs.
  • Pull and organize data and analytics to support monthly and quarterly reporting for the Social Media Planning Lead.
  • Pull paid social performance data and recommendations to support overall reporting and planning.
  • Stay current on emerging social platform features, industry trends, and shifts within the travel category to inform ongoing optimization.
  • Execute the approved social listening strategy and serve as the liaison to cross‑functional partners.
  • Actively track and monitor brand, industry, competitor, and cultural conversations via Brand watch, surfacing insights and opportunities.
  • Monitor sentiment across social platforms and online forums—including private Facebook groups—and partner cross‑functionally to align on response strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Loyalty team on Cruise Critic Q\&As and community touchpoints.
  • Share real‑time “pulse” updates on relevant inbound topics from across the organization.
  • Produce monthly social listening reports with key insights and recommendations.
  • Support social content calendar organization and upkeep.
  • Assist with GTM communications and coordination, including managing calendar invites, preparing creative materials for reviews, and following timelines set by the Social Media Planning Lead.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across Marketing, Operations, Events, and Revenue.
