Requirements

  • Bachelors + 8 years of experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience selling, prospecting, and growing a complex account base at a major OEM or software company.
  • Operate with extreme accountability for customers, territory, and results.
  • Demonstrate skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners, and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.
  • Demonstrated Traits: passion, integrity, trust, leadership, rigor and execution.
  • Proven experience working effectively with channel partners to drive market penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • A history of exceeding quotas in strategic sales environments while acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders.
  • Must be based in or willing to self-relocate to San Antonio TX, Charleston SC, or District of Columbia.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years experience selling or supporting security, networking, compute, and/or collaboration sales
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • 2+ years supporting the Defense Health Agency

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire DHA market, covering the full Cisco portfolio.
  • Act as a "hunter" for new opportunities and lead complex, long-term partnerships and sales opportunities.
  • Navigate a matrixed environment to deliver Cisco's portfolio (AI, Networking, Security, Digital Resilience, and Collaboration).
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor and industry expert, leading with empathy and deep insight.
  • Leverage and lead the channel partner ecosystem to scale impact and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within a strategic account list, consistently exceeding growth targets.
  • Actively contribute to the Mountain West team dynamic, sharing insights to elevate collective performance.
  • Orchestrate multi-faceted, highly complex deal cycles involving multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Prospect new deals and develop the portfolio within accounts across engineering, line of business, and C-suite customers.
  • Anticipate evolving customer needs by leveraging specialized knowledge of customer business models, industry trends, and economic drivers.
  • Leverage competitive and customer data to position Cisco solutions that address customer challenges and create stickiness.
  • Lead executive-level engagements by championing innovative, customer-first strategies that drive business transformation and long-term value.
  • Facilitate and secure long-term partnerships, navigating commercial, legal, and technical requirements.
  • Lead negotiations with a consultative approach, balancing competitive pricing, service levels, and contractual commitments.
  • Review, prioritize, and align customer needs and business/portfolio strategy for account plans.
  • Drive account planning and leverage extended team resources and key partners to identify new consumption options across multiple architectures.
  • Demonstrate deep technical comprehension of technical solutions and their long-term value/ROI in customer context.
