About The Position

GDI Ainsworth is seeking a results-driven Account Executive specializing in Mechanical and Electrical to support growth in the Calgary region. The role focuses on driving new business, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and owners. Ideal candidates bring Mechanical/Electrical sales experience, knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems, and a proven ability to manage multi-discipline sales and achieve growth targets. Requirements

  • University or College-level technical degree or diploma or equivalent trade qualifications
  • 5+ years with a proven successful sales record and a passion for growth.
  • Skilled in methods to build and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, technical, and financials abilities.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Must possess strong communication in English - both written and oral.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical/Electrical sales experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and building owners to identify new business opportunities and secure Mechanical and Electrical retrofit and new project contracts.
  • Develop compelling proposals that showcase the value proposition of our comprehensive service offering and confidently negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Become a trusted advisor by fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers. Actively listen to their needs, understand their unique challenges, and demonstrate your technical expertise to build lasting loyalty.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to consistently surpass assigned sales objectives and contribute to significant market share growth.
  • Optimize profit margins while securing sales orders throughout your designated territory.
  • At times work collaboratively with other Account Executives to pursue and secure project contracts.
  • Work in conjunction with our estimating team to conduct bid review meetings, and preparation of tender documents.
