About The Position

This role involves driving strategic growth across Southeast Asia by remotely selling research or information solutions to clients outside India, ideally into the Japanese or Korean market. The incumbent will contact potential new clients, examine industry-specific needs within a specified geographic region, and introduce them to Frost & Sullivan's services and capabilities. The primary focus is on generating revenue through new account development, prioritizing and targeting specific accounts, developing clear account plans, and implementing them. The role requires leveraging internal networks of industry specialists to engage the right people in follow-on calls. The Customer Engagement (Sales) team plays a critical role in driving global growth and client engagement, acting as the front line of client interaction. They understand business challenges and connect clients with transformative research, consulting, and growth advisory solutions. Professionals in this team are trusted advisors who help clients navigate market disruptions, seize opportunities, and stay ahead of the curve, operating through a consultative sales approach and building long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience remotely selling research or information solutions to clients outside India, ideally into the Japanese OR Korean market.
  • Skilled in consultative sales, client engagement, and business development.
  • Fluent in Japanese/ Korean.
  • Understand industry dynamics and how client decision-making works across markets.
  • Confident in verbal and written communication, with the ability to run discovery calls, listen actively, tell compelling stories, and handle objections effectively.
  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations, craft persuasive proposals, and apply influencing techniques during negotiations.
  • A relevant university degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related fields.
  • Proven experience in consultative sales, client engagement, or business development roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of industry dynamics and client decision-making processes.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to a professional business environment.
  • Utilize discovery questioning, active listening, storytelling, and objection handling techniques during client interactions.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and craft compelling proposals.
  • Apply influencing techniques to support negotiations and client decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Individual Sales Targets: Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding assigned individual sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Client Acquisition & Retention: Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline through regular prospecting, follow-ups, and timely updates in the CRM system.
  • Solution Selling: Understand client needs and position relevant solutions effectively, aligning with the company's value proposition.
  • Understand and effectively navigate the customer journey and sales cycle.
  • Build and manage client relationships while developing strategic account plans.
  • Drive prospecting and new business development initiatives to grow the client base.
  • Execute individual account mapping and planning for deeper client engagement.
  • Apply strategic, consultative selling techniques with a focus on solutions over products.
  • Manage territories and prioritize accounts based on opportunity and impact.
  • Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn and Innovation Nation to improve outreach and visibility with prospects and clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of Frost & Sullivan’s service offerings, including GPAAS, GPD, B&D, Tech Vision, Mega Trends, Frost Radar, and GIL Councils.
  • Effectively position and communicate the value of advisory services such as Growth Consulting, Growth Advisory (GA), Client Advisory (CA), and GSI.
  • Develop strong knowledge of clients’ industries, technologies, and markets to tailor engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct discovery conversations, actively listen, tell compelling stories, handle objections, deliver impactful presentations, write persuasive proposals, and influence client decision-making.
