Account Executive (Lighting & Electrical)
About The Position
The Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and providing tailored solutions for lighting and electrical projects. This role involves prospecting new business opportunities, closing deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, they stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to effectively position the company's offerings in the market. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for success in this dynamic and competitive field. In addition to the Salary, Commission potential is uncapped.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B and/or public-sector sales (lighting & electrical preferred)
- Existing network within commercial property management, facilities, construction, or government procurement is a plus
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- 2-5 years successful B2B selling experience
- Familiarity with lighting & electrical trades
- Experience working with lighting incentive programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new B2B and public-sector leads through outreach, networking, and industry relationships
- Present and promote lighting & electrical products and services to decision-makers in businesses, institutions, and government agencies
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and communication with company leadership
- Develop long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and strong product knowledge
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape
- Other duties as assigned
