FlexStaff is hiring a Sales Service Expert for our client's Southampton, NY location. The ideal Salesperson will possess strong emotional intelligence as building relationships and providing excellent customer service will be paramount. If you're passionate about lighting, design, and helping customers find the right solutions, this is an opportunity to build lasting relationships while growing your sales career. As a Lighting Sales professional, you'll work with homeowners, contractors, builders, and designers to provide expert guidance on lighting products and technologies. You'll combine product knowledge with exceptional customer service to create an outstanding customer experience while contributing to the continued growth of our lighting business.

Requirements

  • A passion for sales with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with business software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to pricing, discounts, and quotations.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by providing exceptional service and expert product recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts while actively pursuing new business.
  • Guide customers through the selection of lighting fixtures, controls, energy-efficient products, and smart lighting solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up on bids, manage customer orders, and ensure timely communication throughout the sales process.
  • Resolve customer questions, concerns, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of lighting products, industry trends, and emerging technologies through ongoing training.
  • Attend manufacturer training sessions, trade shows, and networking events to expand product knowledge and strengthen vendor relationships.
  • Provide regular updates to the Lighting Manager regarding sales activity, customer opportunities, and project status.
  • Support the overall success of the lighting department by assisting with additional responsibilities as needed.
