About The Position

We are in need of an experienced Life Sciences Account Executive. The AE conducts themselves as a trusted advisor by leveraging their exceptional sales capabilities and thought leadership to create a positive end to end customer experience focused on delivering the customers desired outcomes. The AE is responsible for a named portfolio of medium to large existing accounts. In this role you will manage the overall client relationship for upsell and revenue retention with existing clients and build your book of business. You will be supported by a team consisting of Solution Consultants, Customer Success Managers and Sales Development Representatives.

Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree
  • 5 + years of individual, quota carrying selling experience in SaaS and/or BioPharma/Med Device
  • Experience selling to or working in key BioPharma / Med Dev. functions: commercial teams within a brand or therapeutic area, Analytics, or Med Affairs teams
  • Documented history of meeting and exceeding goals
  • Experience selling to C-suite or Senior Leadership at medium to large organizations
  • Proactive, needs based selling
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • A powerful work ethic and comfortable with prospecting, as a part of a team or independently within new and established clients.
  • Experience in account planning and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience negotiating and closing multi-year service contracts
  • A powerful work ethic with energy, humor, compassion, and enthusiasm
  • Team player mindset
  • Superior communication skills and proficiency crafting compelling narratives

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets within assigned client portfolio
  • Responsible for retaining and growing existing book of business consisting of medium to large sized BioPharma & MedTech accounts
  • Create and maintain Strategic Account Plans on an ongoing basis with relevant internal stakeholders. The plans focus on client objectives and how Definitive Healthcare can drive client success with stated goals and KPI’s to measure outcomes
  • Staying up-to-date on Industry trends and evolving client needs to identify new opportunities
  • Accurately forecast opportunities and update all relevant client interactions in the CRM
  • Identify growth opportunities within client accounts, collaborate with customer success manager to identify growth opportunities across therapeutic areas
  • Go “high and wide” in accounts to build relationships with potential buyers and influencers; take a consultative approach to identify client issues that DHC can solve
  • Work with the Customer Experience organization to optimize usage and value of DHC services
  • Quarterback internal relationships with Solutions Consultants, Customer Success and Sales Development Representatives
  • Lead critical renewals conversations
