As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the growth objectives of our Group Benefits sector by representing iA in the market and influencing the evolution of our service offering. Requirements

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Has at least 4 years of experience in business development, group insurance, or a similar role.
  • Is recognized for their ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively.
  • Stands out for their autonomy, strong customer service orientation, and excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong capacity for strategic thinking, collaborates effectively, and can delegate tasks when necessary.
  • Holds an AMF license in group insurance or is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), or commits to obtaining the required credentials within a reasonable timeframe after hiring.
  • Skills and competencies inherent to the role, including autonomy, strong persuasion and negotiation skills, active listening, a customer service mindset, and the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, as the role requires daily communication with English-speaking clients across Canada via email and phone calls.
  • Fluent in French both oral and written.
  • Is willing to travel frequently (personal vehicle required).

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with partners while developing trust-based collaborations.
  • Secure new sales and achieve business development targets.
  • Deliver and strategically position our service offerings in the market.
  • Represent iA Financial Group at industry events.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of finalist presentations.
  • Actively contribute to the evolution of our service offering in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the renewal specialist to renew the existing portfolio.
