Account Executive, Financial Technology

FundamentalNew York, NY
Onsite

About The Position

This role is for someone who has spent meaningful time selling data, analytics, or AI infrastructure into financial services and who understands the difference between selling to a tier-1 prop trading firm and selling to a regional bank. You will own a named-account list spanning systematic and quant managers, capital markets technology firms, asset managers, specialty insurers, and modern fintech infrastructure companies. You will partner with our forward-deployed engineering team to land first deployments and expand them into platform commitments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise software, data, or AI sales experience, with at least 4 years selling into financial services.
  • A documented track record of closing seven-figure deals into quantitative or systematic buyers, capital markets technology firms, asset managers, or specialty insurers.
  • Existing relationships at multiple firms in at least one of these buyer segments: top-25 quantitative hedge funds, top-10 prop trading firms, top-25 asset managers, top-10 specialty insurers, or major capital markets infrastructure firms.
  • Fluency in the technical and commercial language of quantitative research, alternative data, factor modeling, risk management, and the modern data stack as it applies to financial services.
  • A genuinely high tolerance for technical depth in sales conversations - financial services buyers will press on model architecture, feature engineering, and benchmarking against in-house baselines. You need to enjoy that conversation.
  • New York-based or willing to relocate. This role does not work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • A named-account list of 15–20 financial technology and financial services accounts spanning quant funds, prop trading firms, asset managers, specialty insurers, capital markets infrastructure, and fintech.
  • Full-cycle ownership from first meeting through contract close, expansion, and renewal.
  • Executive relationship development at the CTO, Head of Research, Chief Data Officer, and Head of Quantitative Research levels.
  • Pipeline generation through advisor introductions, investor warm paths, AWS Marketplace co-sell motions, and direct outbound to a buyer set that does not respond to standard SDR cadence.
  • Deal architecture across multiple commercial models: platform subscriptions, seat-based research licenses (especially for quant fund research teams), enterprise platform commitments, and the emerging trading-vertical SKUs.
  • A strong working relationship with our applied AI engineering team, who scope and run technical evaluations and bake-offs against incumbent in-house tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with salary and equity
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents, inclusive of adoptive and surrogate journeys
  • Relocation support for employees moving to join the team in one of our office locations
  • A mission-driven, low-ego culture that values diversity of thought, ownership, and bias toward action
