This role focuses on shaping markets, creating demand, and establishing Dell Technologies as a leading partner for digital transformation in U.S. colleges and universities. Higher education is undergoing significant transformation due to AI, changing student demographics, staff burnout, cybersecurity risks, and new opportunities in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement. Dell Technologies collaborates with institutions to advance their missions by providing secure, scalable, and cost-optimized multicloud and modern infrastructure solutions. Institutions rely on Dell for modern digital foundations, enhanced student experiences, accelerated research, modernized services, and institutional agility. The Higher Education Strategist role is a strategic advisory and market-shaping position, not a sales support or deal execution role. The strategist engages directly with senior higher education leaders to understand their challenges and goals, then works with Dell account teams and internal stakeholders to align strategies, solutions, and partnerships. This involves significant time on campus and in virtual executive conversations, facilitating dialogue and building trusted relationships. The strategist acts as a bridge between vertical expertise and technical credibility, bringing deep knowledge of higher education (governance, funding, academic/research missions, institutional dynamics) and technical fluency (infrastructure modernization, cloud migrations, research computing, cybersecurity). This dual expertise allows engagement on both strategic priorities and technical challenges, connecting Dell's capabilities to address them. The role is supported by vertical leaders and the Head of Public Strategy for cross-functional collaboration and organizational influence.
