About The Position

This role is open exclusively to candidates who will work from our New York City, NY office. As an Account Executive, you will live at the intersection of consumer culture and tech innovation, translating complex topics into stories that resonate with everyday consumers. You will support media relations efforts, with opportunities to contribute to influencer engagement as needed, monitor trends across the media landscape, manage day-to-day account activities, and contribute creative ideas that help advance client objectives and generate meaningful media coverage. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, curiosity, organizational skills, a proactive mindset, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating and communicating effectively across teams and with clients.

Requirements

  • Typically minimum 2-3 years of communications, marketing, or media experiences; can include internship experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and news cycle
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines
  • Customer service orientation is a must.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, report and provide insight on competitor and issue-specific media coverage and industry developments, as well as contribute creative ideas that support earned media opportunities and emerging communications trends
  • Craft and customize media pitches and supporting content
  • Begin developing relationships with media; develop final internal and external materials including action emails and recaps for internal and external clients
  • Monitor media coverage and news conversations
  • Provide analysis and strategic recommendations based on industry knowledge
  • Integrate and gather information across teams, clients and partners as needed for projects
  • Contribute ideas and brainstorm on media relations strategies; engage with clients as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
