About The Position

Manage and grow a portfolio of complex casualty accounts, with a focus on large, loss-sensitive and alternative risk structures. Lead the strategy, placement, and servicing of casualty programs including deductibles, retentions, captives, and other risk financing solutions. Analyze program structures and financial impact, including collateral requirements, to advise clients on optimal risk strategies. Partner with producers and business development teams to support and win new business opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by translating complex risk, financial, and coverage concepts into actionable strategies. Coordinate and lead cross-functional account teams to deliver a high level of service and execution. Mentor and develop junior associates, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing. Maintain strong carrier relationships and negotiate program structure, pricing, and terms. Operate with urgency and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance, with a strong emphasis on casualty and complex/loss-sensitive accounts
  • Demonstrated expertise in large deductible programs, captives, self-insurance, and alternative risk structures
  • Strong understanding of the financial components of casualty programs, including collateral and total cost of risk
  • Experience working with complex, multi-layered insurance programs and large commercial clients
  • Proven ability to support new business efforts and contribute to growth initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and translate it into strategic recommendations
  • Leadership mindset with experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills; able to build credibility with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
