About The Position

The Account Executive - Advanced Manufacturing is a dynamic sales contributor responsible for developing and closing complex, high-value nitrogen generation opportunities within the advanced manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, Electronics, and related industrial verticals across North America. This role is designed for a trusted commercial and technical advisor who can engage credibly with executive leadership, engineering, operations, procurement, and sustainability stakeholders. You will own the full sales cycle, from strategic target engagement through contract close, collaborating internally with marketing, engineering, project management, and leadership teams to effectively deliver viable infrastructure solutions for clients.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, or Business is preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in complex B2B sales or industrial capital equipment sales (experience in Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, or Electronics sectors strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and high-value transactions.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to build and articulate ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to clearly communicate engineered system solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience an asset).
  • Willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the Advanced Manufacturing vertical (Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, Electronics, etc.).
  • Develop and execute account-based strategies for projects, multi-site and multi-year growth opportunities.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with executives, operations managers, plant engineers, and procurement leaders.
  • Lead and navigate long-cycle sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, technical evaluations, capital approvals, and executive sign-off.
  • Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Represent Purity Gas at key manufacturing industry events, conferences, and customer site visits.
  • Lead sales engagements for custom and pre-engineered nitrogen generation solutions balancing performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Translate operational and technical manufacturing requirements into compelling technical-commercial proposals.
  • Partner with project engineering to scope, configure, quote, and position solutions.
  • Present ROI, payback models, risk mitigation, reliability metrics, and ESG/sustainability value to senior decision-makers.
  • Use Salesforce as the single source of truth for all accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed records including stakeholder maps, opportunity stages, close plans, deal sizing, and technical milestones.
  • Build and manage a high-quality forecastable pipeline to ensure data integrity and forecasting accuracy.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing and the broader commercial team to align objectives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Field Services to ensure a seamless transition from sales to project execution and commissioning.
  • Act as a senior voice of the customer internally, providing insights on market trends, competitive developments, and industrial manufacturing challenges.
