The Account Director is responsible for achieving account targets by growing and retaining clients, and for building and delivering strategies and programs that achieve outstanding business results for our clients on a sustainable basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related discipline
  • 6+ years marketing, sales, business operations or related experience
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
  • Available to work on site at client location
  • Experience and success interfacing directly with the client without supervision
  • Proven ability to lead an internal team
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in loyalty marketing, direct marketing and interactive solutions preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a specific client or a specific client’s business/industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ultimate accountability for ensuring client retention and satisfaction at every level
  • Cultivate senior relationships across both internal departments and with external clients
  • Primary point of contact for clients
  • Responsible for organic growth within assigned clients and new business development within assigned prospects
  • Accountable within client and industry parameters for strong strategic development and insight
  • Champion for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor individual plans at a top level
  • Drives aspects of the client business plan relating to emerging marketing trends to impact changes on client strategic plan
  • Maintain extensive knowledge and research of outside environmental factors, such as changes in industry standards, new technologies and competing trends
  • Responsible to mentor, provide client servicing guidelines and access project progress at every level
  • Anticipate long-term problems, identify deviations, and take action through resolution
  • Accountable to identify key areas/clients/campaigns that need to be documented
  • Ensure client and program information is being shared across the account team
  • Set quarterly and annual measurement criteria for client and teams
  • Understand advanced financial concept (Income Statements, P/L, ROI, campaign pro-forma plans, and client point of view) and make sound decisions surrounding the financial performance of the account
  • Ensures that resources are wisely invested and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization
  • Provide leadership to account team by example, creating an environment of open communication and respect and trust
  • Performs other duties as assigned
