About The Position

The Account Director works autonomously to build and develop relationships with client organizations, increase visibility of Vaniam Group’s core capabilities, and demonstrate the strategic value of its client partnerships. The role leads and mentors the junior account team, supports talent retention, and ensures continued value delivery. The Account Director oversees proposals and tactical plans, contributes to a range of US and global projects across multiple accounts, monitors project budgets and fee performance, supports account profitability, and prepares and presents account forecasts. The position manages client expectations, budgets, reconciliations, contracts, and procurement processes; resolves complex and politically sensitive client issues; and adapts to different client cultures. Internally, the role provides therapeutic-area guidance, maintains knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations, manages and mentors account teams, and communicates Vaniam Group’s point of view. The Account Director also identifies opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new accounts connected to current clients. The role uses approved AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, workflows, decision-making, and quality, while reviewing AI outputs for accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. This is a 100% remote role with US and international travel as needed; travel of less than 40% is expected. The Account Director works closely with the Senior Account Director, the direct team, Program Services, and Project Management.
