About The Position

The Account Director leads client relationships and drives the development and execution of marketing programs that deliver measurable business results. You'll bring a deep understanding of each client's business, industry, and goals, serving as a trusted strategic partner who shapes thinking, challenges constructively, and ensures the work is aligned, on brand, and built to perform. You'll own overall account health, drive profitable growth, and lead the identification and development of opportunities that expand and strengthen client partnerships.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of experience in agency account management with a demonstrated track record of senior client leadership and account growth.
  • Proven ability to own and grow client relationships, serving as a trusted strategic partner who drives results and earns long-term confidence.
  • Experience working with established brands — you know what rigor, accountability, and high performance look like and how to deliver it.
  • A track record of driving organic growth within existing accounts through strategic thinking and proactive opportunity development, not just reactive service.
  • Strong command of agency economics: profitability drivers, margin management, scope discipline, and how to balance client value with agency health.
  • Proven new business experience — you've participated in or led pitches, closed opportunities, and successfully onboarded new clients.
  • Deep campaign management experience with the ability to oversee complex, integrated programs and drive performance-based decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own client relationships, serving as a trusted strategic partner who anticipates needs, drives alignment, and ensures clients are always informed, confident, and well-served.
  • Bring authoritative knowledge of each client's business, competitive landscape, and category dynamics, leading strategic conversations and influencing client thinking rather than simply responding to it.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaign development from brief through execution, setting the strategic direction and ensuring the work is aligned, creatively strong, and built to deliver results.
  • Drive organic growth within existing accounts by proactively identifying opportunities that expand scope and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Set the strategic foundation for every engagement by writing clear, authoritative briefs that align internal teams around client objectives, audience, and direction.
  • Lead internal teams (strategy, creative, media, production, etc.) through the full campaign lifecycle, ensuring the work stays on strategy, on budget, and on time from brief through delivery.
  • Own the development and presentation of client-facing materials including proposals, estimates, timelines, and performance updates, communicating with the authority and polish expected of a senior client leader.
  • Maintain a high standard for creative and production output, reviewing concepts, copy, and materials to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and strategic consistency before client delivery.
