About The Position

Mindgrub Technologies is an award-winning agency focused on driving efficiency, growth, and ROI through AI and digital innovation. We specialize in delivering multi-channel solutions for enterprise clients, with a strong emphasis on the energy and utilities sectors. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Director to manage and expand our existing energy and utility accounts, as well as drive new sales by identifying opportunities within these industries.

Requirements

5+ years experience working in the energy and utilities industry strongly preferred.
This position is fully remote. Candidates must be able to support occasional travel, as and when required to support client needs and industry events (less than 25% of time).
5+ years of proven experience as an Account Director or similar leadership role, with a successful track record in managing and expanding current accounts in a B2B environment.
Sales experience is preferred and considered beneficial, but is not required.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving targets.
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of account management principles and best practices.
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and expanding current accounts, achieving revenue targets, and driving customer satisfaction.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to build new and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at different levels within client organizations.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong technical and business acumen.
Proficiency in CRM software, and other relevant tools.
Strong understanding of Cloud, Web, Mobile App, and Marketing principles preferred.

Responsibilities

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing energy and utility clients, understanding their challenges, pain points, and strategic priorities.
Serving as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders on accounts, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
Understanding clients' business and technical needs, goals, and objectives to effectively position products/services and drive customer success.
Regularly communicating with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
Monitoring account performance metrics, analyzing data, and generating reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Performing Quarterly Business Reviews with accounts to drive alignment and overall success, including creating strategic plans.
Identifying and driving opportunities for account growth within the existing client base and developing strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product development) to align efforts and support account expansion.
Conducting in-depth account reviews to uncover additional needs or areas where products/services can provide value.
Presenting and promoting new products, upgrades, or solutions to clients, emphasizing benefits and potential impact.
Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
Proactively engaging with clients by fostering strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, resource, and partner.
Attending and driving key client meetings, workshops, industry events, and networking sessions.
Anticipating and resolving risks, issues, or challenges to ensure high client satisfaction and retention rates.
Actively seeking client feedback to identify areas for improvement and relaying insights to internal teams.
Collaborating with the sales team to provide input and support in the development of account strategies, sales, and expansion plans.
Driving contract renewals, negotiations, and upselling opportunities.
Providing accurate and timely sales forecasts, account updates, and activity reports to management.
